Memory Clean - Monitor and Free Up Memory App Reviews

223 Customer Reviews:

Nice little program with many small, concomitant, irritations and annoyances. The occasional pop-up advertisement for other of the developer’s products is exasperating enough, but much worse is the intermittent request to sign in ! before using it — on a computer that has used it thousands of times — because it “was purchased on another computer.” Is Apple popping that request up on my machine ? Or is the developer doing it to harvest my sign-on information ? What entity is seeing my information ? This is the only piece of App Store software that makes these requests and users need to know why they’re frequently asked for sign-on information. Superannuated Crank

Memory (Extreme) Clean does not launch anymore. When I click on it nothing happens. An update to fix this and the continuous requirement to log into the App store each time I re-start needs to be addressed.

I’m tired of the constant and repetitious sign in requirement every time i reboot my computer. you need to address that issue unless you’re happy with a 2 star review.

This and the disk doctor program have some weird app store login requirement to run but it does not prompt you to log in, it just fails to start. This needs to be fixed as other apps do not have this problem. *FIX* Moved both applications to the trash, reinstalled and they now start...

This app saved me from losing my mind after upgrading to El Capitan and Suitcase Fusion 6, both huge RAM hogs. It’s also buying me time until the new 4GB of RAM I ordered arrives. Thank you, app developers!

I was having a memory usage problem with my Mac Mini freezing due to lack of memory. This program helped me find what was causing the problem and best of all it’s free.

SO FAR SO GOOD. PRETTY DECENT

It does the job. Not too sure about how many popups of suggestions there’ll be though. I’m satisfied nonetheless.

I’d rate this higher if it wasn’t for the POP-UP Adware!

Sick of being bombardied with adware from this company. I paid for this app now leave me alone!

Won’t load; no support

This app was working great until recently. It now will not load, and there is no support for it.

I havetried many other memory cleaners, and none of them worked, except this one. I know this because I checked it with the Activity monitor. And it is easy to use!

It is good cleaner!

It is good cleaner, and I can have a good control of my memory usage.

Very useful app. However, since it keeps sending annoying pop ads to buy related products from the same company, I can only give this a One star rating.

Its a handy little program, but even after paying for the app when it came out, it now has an “extreme” version, for “even more” memory clean!.. and dont like the constant spam to upgrade to “extreme” version.

Apple built memory management into OS X long ago, but it doesn’t always work like it’s supposed to. Computers with 4GB of RAM can often begin to hang, show the spinning candy, or generally slow down terribly when available memory gets too low. There are several memory cleaners out there, but this one is the best I’ve seen. Being free is great. How well it works is even better. It effectively prunes memory of unnecessary set-asides and processes that should have closed earlier. It gives you the opportunity to do this when YOU think you need to, or automatically if you wish. The more recent versions have been updated to work better with more recent OS versions, with computers with less memory (without the rare hang-up that MC itself can cause), and with older computers. It works, it works well, it works when you want it, and it works for free. What’s not to like?

This app does a good job at cleaning (freeing up) my mac minis memory. Another person wrote that Apple has memory cleanup built into its OS, but that is a big surprise to me because without this app, Im forced to restart my mac several times a day to free up memory, Thanks app developer.

Memory Clean is a wonderful app which picks up where Apple’s stock memory management solutions are lacking. I started off using it when my main computer was a baseline 2010 MacBook, and even now with a much more powerful MacBook Pro, I still use it to keep my mac running smoothly and root out any potential memory hogs. The extreme clean in app purchase is another great feature which I would definitely reccommend, as it can even further clear out memory being hogged but unused by apps.
